Aqua-Master is a light-drilling rig, designed and developed in the United
Kingdom to provide low cost individual tube wells, and core sampling functions
for site investigations. Its applications are varied so we have looked at
a small number of potential applications below. Technical aspects of Aqua-Master
are contained in the attached brochure. The applications especially in Lesser
Developed World environments are varied and exciting
Demographics :
Current water systems do not supply many areas where low population or difficult
access are a problem, and for those who require their own well, a low cost
solution is supplied by the Aqua-Master. The product can provide bore holes
from 2" to 6". A short time checking web sites for organisations such as
Development Gateway, Wateraid, UN, World bank etc. will give a clear idea
of how small a proportion of the requirement we can hope to fulfill, and
demonstrate the unquestioned demand for Aqua-Master.
Applications :
Lesser developed World. Many areas do not have access to clean water and
the cost of sinking deep bore holes is prohibitive. Conventional rigs are
expensive to buy or hire, and the alternative of hand-operated drills do
not have the depth or rock boring capabilities needed to guarantee results
Other applications :
For example, an owner can have a well drilled in his land at very low cost,
a hospital, factory or hotel could have a well drilled literally in the
basement with no occupier discomfort or infrastructure modifications, to
either replace or supplement the municipal supply. Aqua-Master will bore
straight through the foundations, and through whatever rock or other substrate
is between the ground and a suitable liquefier. The cost is minimal and
the well can be completed in a day in most cases, though deeper wells through
certain substrates can take more time. The compact dimensions of Aqua-Master
mean it can be taken anywhere a tractor or forklift can travel, and is operated
from the power take off, using the tractor hydraulic supply for its operation
Features :
Aqua-Master can drill at any angle, even horizontally. Boring at an
angle to take seepage from under irrigation canals, boring horizontally
to run cables and pipes under roads and motorways, core testing in mountainous
areas. All these are but a few of its uses. Aqua-Master can be delivered
anywhere it is required, and can be supplied CKD for local assembly in the
region required. Aqua-Master can be carried and operated from any 75hp+
tractor, or can be skid mounted with external drive. At 765 Kg it is easily
transported, but very substantial both in its engineering integrity and
quality of design.
