PRE-PRODUCTION
PROVING OF THE DRILLCORER AQUA-MASTER
Earlier precursors of the Aqua-Master were produced and sold with the
result that the basic principles of mechanical simplicity, rugged construction
and operational facility were proved in open cast coal mining in Britain,
geotechnical drilling in Ireland, searching for water in arid
parts of Africa, geological probing in America, mineral exploration in South
America and seismic drilling as well as oil and gas exploration, concrete
grouting, civil engineering and site investigation generally in several
countries.
Unique features were:
Firstly that damaged drills were found to be sufficiently robust
and uncomplicated for repairs to be carried out in remote agricultural workshops
abroad and
Secondly the ability to be carried on and be powered by the internationally
ubiquitous farm tractor gave the drill exceptional mobility and also indigenously
available and interchangeable power units in relatively isolated locations.
